In-line Packaging
The
most economical way of packaging large numbers of die cut parts is right
on the same production line. Without this technology, products like
Band Aids and trans dermal patches could not be wrapped individually
at a reasonable price.
While this technology is not new, it is generally reserved
for products that justify the high costs of custom built machinery.
CRC's offering stands out because we can offer this kind of service
for relatively short runs. Our secret is our flexible (modular) manufacturing
equipment and our technical staff.
The pouch can be sealed by heat, pressure (cold seal),
or patterned hot melt glue. A typical heat sealed package might have
paper on one side and clear plastic on the other with a peel-seal

In some applications, it is desirable that the package
opens at the seam rather than ripping the package. This is accomplished
by controlling the strength of the seal. |

bond. Pouches can be porous to allow sterilization or air tight
to protect the contents from contamination. |
